Dogwoof Film Distribution for Social Issue Films

The oil giant Chevron is trying to force a Joe Berlinger, director of Crude, to hand over hundreds of hours of documentary footage about pollution in the Amazon in the latest twist in a multibillion dollar lawsuit.

The company wants to view unused material from the award-winning documentary Crude, about an environmental catastrophe in Ecuador’s oil-producing Amazon region, to bolster its defence in one of the biggest lawsuits in history.

The awards season continues to treat Dogwoof films kindly.
This week Joe Berlinger’s Crude picked up the main award at the annual Cinema For Peace dinner in France. Guests in attendance included Sir Bob Geldof, former Soviet Premiere Mikhail Gorbachev, and French screen icon Catherine Deneuve.
